This year, the Annual Hang Gliding Championship became a true unexpectedness for both gliding enthusiasts and professionals. Even our journalists didn’t suppose James Wilkinson to be left behind by a gliding enthusiast from Glasgow called Ewan Baird. Ewan showed exceptional concentration when passing a tough section of the AHGC airway.
However, renowned champions of previous years weren’t left far behind. John Smith showed his skills in making a smooth though confident control of his aircraft on the final course of the championship and got the second place. The bronze AHGC cup and prize for third place got Alice McFarlene from Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. Though being only 20 years old, Alice showed incredible skills on passing the most complex twists of the recently opened AHGC Youth airway.
